Red Rock Crossing Bridge Boosters Appeal Court Verdict

Sierra Club Files Cross-Appeal

On December 3, 1998, Citizens for an Alternate Route (CFAR) filed its formal Notice of Appeal with the Arizona Court of Appeals.

This followed the October 23, 1998 dismissal of CFAR's original lawsuit by Maricopa County Presiding Superior Court Judge Robert D. Myers.  CFAR had sought to force Yavapai County to rebuild Red Rock Crossing.

On December 31, 1998, Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest attorney Jennifer Anderson, representing the Sierra Club, filed a Notice of Cross-Appeal. "This action will allow the Sierra Club to keep all its options open during the upcoming appellate process," she explained.

It is anticipated that CFAR will submit its appeal brief by the filing deadline of March 29, 1999.
