RESOLUTION NO. 97-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEDONA, ARIZONA, SUPPORTING THE NEED FOR AN ALTERNATE ROUTE TO SR 89A AND SR 179 AND ENCOURAGING THAT AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE BE FULLY EVALUATED AND STUDIED THROUGH THE NEPA PROCESS.
WHEREAS:
An alternate route to SR 89A and SR 179 is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Sedona; and
The study and evaluation of Red Rock Crossing and El/E2 as alternate routes to SR 89A and SR 179 through the NEPA process provides the preferred method for determining the best location and area for such an alternate route.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEDONA, ARIZONA THAT:
The City of Sedona, through its Mayor and City Council, hereby supports the need for an alternate route to SR 89A and SR 179.
The City of Sedona, through its Mayor and City Council, hereby encourages two alternate routes, specifically Red Rock Crossing and E1/E2, be fully evaluated and studied through the NEPA process.
